Position Overview
Southall Church Southall Church is a healthy, multiplying church in Franklin, TN with a vision to bring the life of Jesus to our families, neighbors and nations. We are looking for a Worship Director to be the primary point person for Southall’s worship & production environments.
Role Summary
The Worship Director will be a part of the Worship Arts department that seeks to come alongside the vision of our church by facilitating a culture where people leave our Worship Gatherings saying, “Surely God is in this place.” This person will work with leadership to program worship gatherings that align with Southall’s vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary leader for Southall’s worship and production environments, overseeing both areas across adult and student gatherings.
- Provide leadership and oversight for weekend service systems (PROS), including pastoring, recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling volunteers, as well as developing worship team pipelines.
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to plan and program worship services that align with Southall’s vision and advance its mission.
- Curate and select worship songs that help people encounter Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him.
- Partner with the Pastor of Worship Arts to coordinate worship sets and volunteer teams across all environments.
- Work closely with the Production Director to ensure all technical and production elements are prepared and executed with excellence for weekend services.
- Shepherd, coach, and disciple worship and production volunteers—especially within student ministry and young adults—through weekly communication and connection.
- Learn from pacesetter in worship ministry by learning from other churches and ministry leaders.
- Additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Fulfill the membership requirements of Southall Church (commit to model joyful generosity by tithing)
- Strong and growing personal commitment to Jesus Christ
- Ability to see and articulate the leadership behaviors of Southall Church
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Has positive energy, solution oriented, and works very well with others
- A proven track record of people management and worship leadership
- 3-5 years experience in music and/or related field
SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday
HOURS: 40 (must be available for special events, church meetings, etc)
COMPENSATION: TBD
STAFF LEVEL: Director: reports to the Worship Arts Pastor
