MY ONE THING
Support the Groups Ministry at VRL with an emphasis on Young Adult groups and launching new groups of all types.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Consistent launch of new groups including monthly group launches and Rooted groups.
- Work collaboratively with the Groups Team to achieve goals.
- Develop the Young Adult Ministry with the goal of steadily increasing the number of Young Adults in Life Groups.
- Participate in Groups Team activities such as Leader Rallies, Real Discipleship Training, and monthly Life Group Experiences.
- Be available for general ministerial duties, such as pastoral meetings, visits, and leading people through the ABCD Discipleship Pathway.
- Additional duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years ministry experience or equivalent employment and volunteer-based experience.
- Related education, degree, or training preferred
- Experience leading teams or volunteers required.
- Ordination preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills
- Solid computer knowledge and experience with MS Office.

EXPECTATIONS, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Attend VRL church services on a regular basis
- Have attended or are willing to attend The Journey and sign a membership agreement.
- Be in full alignment with VRL's mission, vision, beliefs, and culture.
- Be in a Life Group on a regular basis.
- Regularly tithe/give of income to God through VRL.
- Abiding in Christ and continuing to grow toward Christlikeness and spiritual maturity.
- Attend monthly All Staff meeting and participate in department meetings or other meetings when requested to do so.
- Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment among our staff and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries and events of VRL.
