Position Summary
The Worship Pastor will provide spiritual and creative leadership for all worship ministries of the church. This individual will cultivate a Christ-centered worship culture, lead worship services, develop volunteers, and work closely with church leadership to support the church's vision and mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead worship services for Sunday gatherings and special events.
- Recruit, train, and disciple worship team members and volunteers.
- Coordinate musicians, vocalists, and production teams.
- Select songs and create worship sets that align with sermon themes and church values.
- Oversee worship ministry scheduling and rehearsals.
- Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders on church-wide initiatives.
- Maintain and oversee worship equipment and technology.
- Foster spiritual growth and community within the worship ministry team.
Qualifications
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a strong personal faith and Christian character.
- Agreement with the church's statement of faith and core values.
- Minimum of 3 years of worship leadership experience.
- Strong vocal and instrumental abilities.
- Experience leading and developing volunteer teams.
- Knowledge of worship planning software and presentation tools such as Planning Center and ProPresenter.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Ministry, Worship, Music, or a related field.
- Experience in a multi-generational church environment.
- Familiarity with audio, lighting, and livestream technologies.
