What you’ll do:
- Champion the church’s strategy for helping people take their next step in their relationship with Jesus.
- Lead and develop high-capacity volunteer leaders who implement meaningful Next Steps experiences.
- Recruit, equip, coach, and pastor volunteer teams serving in Next Steps ministries, including Next Steps Class, Baptism, Prayer, Rooted, and other discipleship environments.
- Implement systems and processes that help people move from attending church to becoming fully engaged members of the church family.
- Oversee the Next Steps Class experience, ensuring guests are personally connected, equipped to identify their next step, and followed up with excellence.
- Lead the campus baptism process from registration through post-baptism follow-up, creating meaningful and memorable baptism experiences.
- Partner with campus ministry leaders to cultivate a healthy volunteer culture that recruits, develops, and retains servant leaders across every ministry.
- Monitor key Next Steps metrics, identify trends, and implement strategies that increase engagement and spiritual growth.
- Provide pastoral care by connecting with guests, members, volunteers, and those taking significant spiritual next steps.
- Collaborate with campus staff to execute church-wide initiatives, special events, and seasonal ministry opportunities with excellence.
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Skills & Experience you've had:
- Ability to recruit and build volunteer teams
- Passion for helping people grow in their relationship with God and serve in ministry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly relational with an appreciation for details
- Minimum 2 years vocational ministry experience
