About the role
We are looking to hire a Youth Pastor to help lead students from 6 to 12th grade at the Shoreview location. This is an on-site, part-time position working 20 hours per week (flexible daytime + Wednesday nights). The compensation for this position is $25 per hour.
What you'll do
Key Leader for Youth Ministry
- Provide vision and leadership for the Youth Ministry
- Manage organizational structure, making adjustments as needed
- Work regularly with Youth Ministry volunteers to gather feedback and refine the ministry
- Consistently invest in students' lives outside of Wednesday nights
Wednesday Night Programming
- Plan, oversee, and lead the weekly Wednesday night youth group for middle and high school students
- Prepare and deliver biblically based and engaging messages tailored to teenagers
- Facilitate a welcoming environment where students' faith can grow in community, inspiring them to follow Jesus and help others do the same
- Coordinate musical worship with the worship leader
Training & Supporting Volunteers
- Recruit key youth volunteers to disciple students
- Identify and develop key leaders (students and adults) to grow in their leadership ability, support volunteers, and carry out various ministry tasks
- Train, support, and encourage volunteer leaders with consistent training and discipleship resources
Youth Ministry Administration
- Prepare small group discussion guides and other resources to equip leaders
- Maintain consistent communication with students and parents through effective channels such as email and social media
- Oversee the purchasing of supplies, equipment, etc.
- Plan and execute special youth events (e.g., summer camps, retreats, or outreach nights).
- Be the point person for escalated questions, concerns, and issues from students/parents/staff/volunteers.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to navigate church or facility buildings, often including steps
- Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and bending
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
