Job Position – Pastor, LifeCare Ministries - Counseling (Male Pastoral Role)
Position Description – full-time, salaried, exempt, ministry, and at-will

General Scope of Position
The Pastor, LifeCare Ministries – Counseling position provides support to the LifeCare Ministry (LifeCare, LC) of Crossings Community Church (CCC, Crossings) through execution of its day-to-day vision and mission, as assigned and noted below.
Organizational Relationships
The position reports to Crossings Community Church’s Pastor, LifeCare Ministries (Director) and will work collaboratively and interact regularly with all members of the LifeCare ministry team, various vendors, CCC staff, and volunteers, across the various departments and ministries, venues, and locations, as well as, with ministry partners of Crossings, to accomplish the goals and mission of Crossings’ and its ministries.
Responsibilities/Duties
- To provide therapy to individuals, couples and families as assigned including late afternoons and Fridays, averaging 20 to 23 sessions weekly.
- Availability to clients as urgency may dictate and professional licensure requires.
- Availability to offer leadership in LC Support and Recovery groups and/or Enrichment classes as requested, (these are mostly evenings opportunities); Leadership may include coordination with LC team and volunteers as well as facilitating groups.
- Regular availability for up to two “week nights”, as well as, Sunday mornings for both clinical and pastoral responsibilities.
- Timely and accurate record management in line with Department Protocols, as well as, in compliance with HIPAA.
- Participation in both individual supervision and weekly Case Consultation, as well as, other departmental and Staff meetings and Staff events
- Maintain conformity to clinical standards, ethics, and protocols as established by LifeCare.
- Assist in maintaining the highest possible ministry standards and professional ethics in accordance with the goals, Purpose Statement, and Core Values of Crossings Community Church.
- Support the leadership of CCC, contributing to the spirit of unity among the staff and congregation.
- Represent Crossings in civic and ministry-related efforts as approved or requested.
- Perform any other duties or tasks to accomplish responsibilities associated with this position or as may be needed or assigned to fulfill the needs, mission and goals of Crossings’ ministries.
Requirements
- Pro-active completion of all requirements, including competency exams and orals, as well as, timely submission of yearly reports to the Licensure Boards; Good standing with licensure yearly requirements as stated by State of Oklahoma Licensure Boards.
- Articulate the Counseling field’s body of knowledge corollary to their current level of education training and experience.
- Articulate and practice the Counseling field’s established ethical clinical standards.
- Proactive development in, and integration of LifeCare’s model of therapy.
- This position provides malpractice insurance; waived Licensure Supervision fees; provision of continuing education opportunities; theological and pastoral education and experience; subsidy for, and encouragement of personal therapy during employment.
Pastoral Requirements
- Understand and support Crossings Statement of Faith, Vision, Goals, Ministries, and Core Value.
- Participation in CCC Pastoral Duties and Opportunities, as requested.
- Expresses a sense of Pastoral Call and moving their development to function as a Clinical Pastor.
- Be open to learning about and embrace the core principles and values of Crossings ministries and its Wesleyan roots.
Development
- Attend Bible study and/or community group.
- Complete developmental readings – topics covered will include Biblical studies, theology, counseling, pastoral leadership, and teaching.
- Meet with Pastor of LifeCare Ministries or supervising therapist for development and to review goals and objectives.
Spiritual Expectations
- Maintain a consistent and growing spiritual life. This includes:
- Daily Bible reading
- Daily prayer
- Regular Church attendance
- Walk in a manner worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ
- Living above reproach in matters of spiritual judgment
- Living within the bounds of the expectations given in the Crossings Employee handbook
Spiritual Gifts
A mature walk with Christ exhibiting the spiritual gifts of administration/organization, leadership, knowledge, wisdom, discernment, shepherding, service, and encouragement.
Physical & Other Requirements for Position
- Be able to walk a long distance (up to a quarter of a mile); and be able to lift and carry 25-35 lbs. parcels for distances of up to 500 feet.
- Able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Possess a current unrestricted driver’s license.
- This is a safety sensitive position where the employee holding this position has the responsibility of his/her own safety and the safety of others including minors.

Education and Experience
- Completed and maintained up to date professional license in Counseling, LPC or LMFT licenses.
- Attends Crossings on a consistent basis to understand, culture, mission, and values.
- Graduate degree in Mental/Behavioral Health.
