Purpose
The Communications Pastor oversees our communications teams and will reinforce the mission and vision of the ministry by creatively designing and producing communications that tell our story in informative, creative, and artistic expressions. The CP will lead at a Support Service level, providing input and creating systems for shared creative resources between for all ministries within the Fearless Family of Churches. The CP oversees the communication staff and works closely with ministry leads.
Mission, Vision and Strategy Alignment
- Our Fearless Family of Churches mission is to “Follow Jesus and Fearlessly Make Him Known.” The CP will creatively promote an atmosphere of encouraging attendees to take their next step towards Jesus.
- The vision Fearless focuses around is More Friends, New Life, More Followers, and New Churches (org/What-We-Believe/). The CP will ensure that the vision of the ministry is reinforced through the various creative communications platforms.
- The CP will be responsible for the overall alignment of the “Fearless” brand through graphic continuity, storytelling, and general communications (i.e. social media, emails, video, teaching series bumpers, etc…). Promoting and supporting the full strategy of our Fearless Churches, working to help reach a common set of goals and objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Leading
- Provide proactive leadership in raising a high value for alignment, excellence, and consistency in all Fearless Family communications.
- Maintain a graphics standards guide and establish systems and processes that enable the sharing and collaboration between all Fearless churches, chaplaincy, and support staff.
- Ensure website design templates, functionality and content editor tools are user friendly for staff and those visiting our sites. Oversee and at times create new pages for special events and programming. Provide staff training opportunities and guide staff in ongoing content updates.
- Lead the coordination and delivery of recurring print and electronic materials (ex. weekly program, series brochures, ministry programming).
Planning & Execution
- Create an ongoing system for project tracking, communication, and collaboration for communication projects.
- Ensure major communications are implemented on a weekly basis (i.e. enews, blogs, social media posts, video).
- Direct the coordination of all written, video, and graphic design elements for Fearless programming and events while providing support and coaching for church specific projects and communication elements.
- Ensure that videos, graphics, slides, menus, series information and teachings are uploaded to website weekly.
- Develop and implement a social media strategy and track engagement.
- Monitor budget, approve invoices, and implement potential cost saving measures.
- Collaborate with ministry teams to gain understanding and vision for planned communication projects.
- Ongoing evaluation of communication and marketing channels to measure and improve ministry impact, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Establish and carry out marketing plan and execution.
- In charge of all social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, eNews, and Blogs)
- Ensure the maintaining of all email lists (i.e. Mail Chimp).
- Create and manage communication calendars/tasks/plans for events.

Qualifications
- Preferred two years experience in church ministry
- Preferred four years experience in communication development, design, and/or disbursement
- Preferred two years of proven ability to develop, lead, and motivate volunteer teams
- Member or willing to become a member of a Fearless Church within 6 months of employment
