JOB DESCRIPTION
The Tysons Worship Coordinator will provide administrative and coordination support for a wide range of Tysons Worship & Production efforts and will be responsible to support all events hosted by the Tysons worship leaders and music directors. Having a musical background and the ability to lead worship as needed is strongly preferred. The Tysons Worship Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support and managing processes in three major priorities: Gathering, Developing, and Creating.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work alongside the worship staff to identify and establish systems and processes that advance the Worship Department priorities.
- Oversee the gathering and distribution of information for Tysons worship gatherings including weekly updates to all pertinent teams including worship, production, interpretation, closed captioning, and gathering element participants.
- Oversee management of Tysons Planning Center Online with Executive Team Coordinator.
- Manage volunteer onboarding from application submission through scheduling, specifically overseeing the audition process.
- Manage the Tysons worship email account.
- Manage volunteer onboarding documentation and background checks for worship department.
- Co-management of Tysons Worship operating budget.
- Financial disbursements for Tysons worship contractors, guests, and events.
- Manage monthly expense reports and weekly musician contract payments.
- Logistically support the Development wing of Tysons Worship internships, residents, and trainings.
- Logistically support the Creative wing of Tysons Worship music and content creation projects.
- Assist in coordinating worship volunteer care and development events.
- Hospitality details for Tysons worship gatherings & events as directed.
- Managing and/or overseeing the church’s CCLI licensing and completing CCLI copy and rehearsal reporting for all MBC locations.
- Develop competency in Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, Espace, Ministry Platform, and other MBC systems.
- Logistically support the annual MBC Worship Camp
- Oversee the creating of Tysons ProPresenter and volunteer team
- Work alongside Executive Team Coordinator as needed to host all-location MBC worship events.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires the ability to recruit, lead and manage volunteers.

COMMITMENT
- The typical schedule and daily duties for this position are as follows:
- Sunday through Thursday
- Occasional extra hours depending on extra events (conferences, global events, trainings, etc.) and work/project load.
- Must be a professing Christian and invested in the life of McLean Bible Church.
TRAVEL
May occasionally be required to travel to other MBC Locations. Infrequent out of town travel may be required with this position.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Prior vocational or volunteer church experience required.
- Prior experience leading worship strongly preferred.
- Prior organizational communication and live production experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to read, speak, and hear. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, bend, kneel, and lift. The individual is required to be able to lift and carry items that can weigh 25 pounds or more for short distances.
