Summary of Position:
A Ministry Apprenticeship is for individuals who sense a calling to vocational ministry and seek to develop ministry skills and gain the experience necessary to grow in their gifts. A Ministry Apprentice serves under the supervision of a Ministry Director and the guidance of a Pastor, and
together, they will provide opportunities, feedback, and support to discern future ministry roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
●Help Shepherd and Pastor the worship and production team
○Disciple and lead people in the band to grow in their love for Jesus.
■ Pastor and care for team
■ Teach how to lead in tandem with the Holy Spirit’s promptings
■ Disciple them in their theology of worship
■ Help the team grow in their craft
●Help oversee worship elements for assigned services
○Work with Central Echo Students Worship Director to plan and coordinate songs and creative elements
●Help oversee Current team Coordinators
○Lead and help coach female worship leaders on the campus
○Once weekly check in
○Teach them to recruit leaders
●Help oversee and Recruit Band
○Develop future musicians and song leaders.
○Create chord charts and distribute to band via Planning Center
○Schedule band members one month out at least
○Communicate details for services weekly to team members.
■Double check chord chart accuracy and recording arrangement/key before sending to the band first.
■Create/Complete sets at least two weeks out.
■Notate who is leading the song for lighting.
■Communicate weekly details for each service in a timely manner

○Help as needed with growing Worship teams and culture in Student ministry at NSJ
○Shepherd and coach female worship leaders on the campus
●Ableton/Playback Responsibilities
○Work with Central Students Worship Director to create weekly set in
Ableton/Playback
■ Adapt set to key needs of the campus team
●ProPresenter Responsibilities
○Create prompter playlists per week with correct keyed songs (move to Nashville # system)
●Help grow the campus worship team through coordinators and personal recruitment
●Help lead worship on campus weekly
●Attend weekly Worship staff team meetings and be a contributing voice to the team
Support Echo Worship Ministry Initiatives
●Assist in implementing strategies for recruiting more student worship members
●Increase engagement for students in worship
●Help create environments that remove barriers and attract high school students.
●Leading worship occasionally with the am/pm teams
Ministerial Licensing & Benefits
Apprentices may qualify for housing allowance upon approval of the Echo.Church
Ministerial & Licensing Questionnaire, and be willing to perform the ministerial
duties listed below.
Ministerial Duties include:
●Praying for and giving spiritual advice to others
●Leading others to worship by helping them serve with their gifts
●Teaching and leading Echo Groups
●Sharing the Gospel message with clarity
●Performing baptisms, funerals, and serving communion
●Officiating wedding ceremonies
