EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO LEAD PASTOR
TITLE: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO LEAD PASTOR
REPORTS TO: LEAD PASTOR
STATUS: FULL TIME
SALARY: TBD
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Executive Assistant (EA) is responsible for providing administrative support, project management, and internal/external communications relative to the office of the Lead Pastor. The EA is also responsible for being a liaison between the Lead Pastor and other parties (internal and external) on projects and initiatives, facilitating interdepartmental coordination to ensure efficient follow-through. This position also seeks to set an example for reliability, servant leadership, and kindness as a representative of the Lead Pastor
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Manages the Lead Pastor’s calendar, phone calls, and emails.
- Drafts, proofs, and sends communication on behalf of the Lead Pastor.
- Attends meetings on behalf of Lead Pastor and takes minutes for record-keeping and dissemination. Meetings include but are not limited to staff meetings, executive meetings, and event team meetings.
- Gathers information, such as estimates/quotes, locations, and purposes, for upcoming projects commissioned by the Lead Pastor.
- Keeps the Lead Pastor advised on time-sensitive issues and deadlines, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Exercises appropriate confidentiality in all matters related to the ministry.
- Completes a variety of special projects, including but not limited to: creating PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, special reports, and meeting agendas.
- Assists the Lead Pastor in planning and executing staff-wide/church-wide projects and initiatives, with further delegation. (Beyond Sunday)
- Proofreads all weekend sermon notes and forwards to the media team.
- Manages all church-related travel plans for the Lead Pastor and guest speakers.
- Orders and stocks Lead Pastor’s office with specified refreshments.
- Is fully trained on the systems of communication (Subsplash Planning Center, Outlook, Office 365, etc.) at CWC and able to train others when necessary.
- Serves as secretary to the advisory board
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and display Christ-centered behavior (treating people with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity always).
- Must be willing to attend, at a minimum, one weekly worship service at CWC.

- Strong and prudent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and information.

Organizational and Administrative Proficiency
- 3+ years of experience supporting executives, or a demonstrated track record of managing equivalent high-stakes administrative responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Familiar and innovative with administrative tools and systems to streamline operations.
Experience in Team Building and Conflict Resolution
- Adaptability and eagerness to foster a positive, inviting work environment.
- Managing expectations with discernment, transparency, and compassion, addressing differing opinions.
- Nurturing a culture of unity and collaboration.
Knowledgeable in Theology and Church Ministry

Ministry Experience
- Has previous experience in church/parachurch, nonprofit settings, or a related field.
- Experience in managing staff, leading teams, and overseeing church operations.

- An exemplar in integrity, ethical behavior, and a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures.
- A servant-hearted approach to leadership and a genuine care for people.
- Humble, willing to receive coaching and correction when needed, and actively seeks reconciliation.
