We're looking for a full-time Campus Pastor to launch, build and lead our new York Region (Greater Toronto Area) Campus in Canada.
In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Pastors to establish a healthy church culture, develop leaders and volunteers, strengthen discipleship, and create an environment where people can encounter Jesus, belong in community and flourish in their faith. As the Campus Pastor, you'll oversee the day-to-day life of the campus while championing Hillsong Church's vision and values throughout every ministry area.
If your application is successful, your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Campus Leadership
- Lead the overall health, growth and day-to-day operation of the York Region Campus.
- Champion the vision, culture and values of Hillsong Church across every aspect of campus life.
- Build, develop and empower volunteer leaders and ministry teams.
- Identify, mentor and develop emerging leaders, creating healthy leadership pathways.
- Lead and oversee weekend services, midweek ministries and campus events, including conducting aspects of church services such as preaching, teaching, MC, offering message, etc.
- Foster a culture of discipleship where people are encouraged to take their next step in following Jesus.
Pastoral Care & Congregation Support
- Provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care and oversight to the congregation.
- Build a healthy pastoral care team to support the needs of the campus community.
- Provide or coordinate pastoral care including prayer, hospital visitation, marriage preparation, funerals and crisis support where appropriate.
- Encourage spiritual growth through biblical teaching, prayer and authentic relationships.
- Create a welcoming environment where people feel connected, supported and valued.
Operations & Campus Administration
- Ensure campus operations are well organized and aligned with church policies, systems and Safe Church requirements.
- Steward campus resources and finances responsibly in line with approved budgets.
- Monitor ministry health, attendance and key engagement indicators to support planning and decision-making.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with central support teams.
- Ensure planning, reporting and administrative processes are completed with excellence.
Team Development
- Lead, coach and develop key ministry leaders and volunteer teams.
- Recruit, equip and empower volunteers to serve confidently and effectively.
- Foster a healthy, collaborative and faith-filled team culture.
- Provide regular coaching, feedback and leadership development opportunities.
Community Engagement & Social Impact
- Lead the campus in building meaningful relationships within the local community.
- Champion outreach initiatives that reflect Hillsong Church's mission and values.
- Develop partnerships that strengthen the church's impact and presence throughout York Region.
- Encourage the congregation to actively engage in serving and caring for their community.
Ideally, a successful candidate will have:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Ministry, Theology or a related discipline is desirable.
- Proven experience in pastoral leadership within a church environment.
- Strong biblical knowledge with the ability to preach, teach and disciple others.
- Demonstrated experience leading, developing and empowering volunteer teams.
- Excellent pastoral care, relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong organizational ability with experience balancing ministry, leadership and operational responsibilities.
