About the role
This role helps lead Sunday worship at the Tucker campus, from song selection and rehearsal to shaping the campus's overall worship culture alongside the Campus Pastor. It also contributes to liturgy development, musician training, creative music projects, and carries pastoral responsibilities such as member care and First Sunday involvement.
What you'll do
Leading Worship
- Influence and contribute to Tucker Sunday worship planning, including song selection, volunteer practice, and weekly Sunday preparation.
- Lead rehearsal for the volunteer band and lead Sunday morning services.
- Work with the Campus Pastor to develop and influence the worship culture of the Tucker campus.
Liturgy, Culture, and Development
- Work with the Worship Pastor to develop thoughtful liturgical elements for Christ Covenant's worship services.
- Develop a robust development system for aspiring musicians and singers at Christ Covenant.
- Manage college worship leaders, including periodic attendance at college gatherings.
Pastoral Responsibilities
- Hold relational meetings with church members on a regular basis.
- Read and evaluate baptism testimonies for Tucker baptisms.
- Help lead a portion of First Sunday programming at the Tucker campus.
Special Events and Projects
- Contribute to the curation of creative elements, create fresh song arrangements, and write new songs for Sunday services.
- Contribute to the recording and production of new Christ Covenant music.
- Contribute to periodic big-event planning meetings and quarterly worship planning meetings.
Qualifications
- Seminary or Bible degree is preferred.
- 4-5 yrs of experience in leading musical worship
- Proven background in fast-paced work environments with a flexible mindset toward initiatives.
- Character congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9)
