POSITION SUMMARY:
The Next Gen Pastor will work to effectively lead as many students as possible to say “yes” to Jesus and passionately follow Him! This role will initially help focus on one of the Echo Church Campuses and then move to empower the student directors on the other Echo campuses.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2-5 years leading a growing student ministry.
- Experience reaching students beyond the walls of the church.
- Ability to recruit, develop, and multiply volunteer team members.
- Ability to teach students in a large group format.
- Ability to coach and equip student pastors on other campuses.
- Ability to establish effective ministry and communication with parents.
- Ability to work in a fast paced complex multi-campus environment.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Buy in to the Echo vision, culture and philosophy of ministry.
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead Campus Student Ministry:
- Lead campus coordinators to execute student ministry strategy.
- Develop leaders within student ministry.
- Ensure student ministry is run with excellence and simplicity.
- Work with Strategic Leadership Team on future student ministry strategy.
- Work with campus coordinators to solve ministry problems.
- Work with campus coordinators to remove any barriers that keep students from encountering Jesus.
- Work with leaders and other campus staff / leaders to engage students in serving and weekend involvement.
2. Lead Echo Students Staff:
- Regularly meet with Echo Students cross campus team.
- Work to bring alignment across campuses
- Empower and coach for success.
- Participate with the North San Jose Campus staff.
3. Give vision and direction to Echo Student ministry across all campuses.
- Set the tone spiritually for campus student ministry.
- Create environments to learn and grow together.
- Empower the team with cross campus events: Student Weekends.
