OVERVIEW
The Bridge Church is a multisite church in Middle Tennessee that exists to be with Jesus and become like Him for the sake of the world. We are located in a growing community with a passion to reach our cities with the gospel. This desire has created the need for the Bridge + Coordinator to continue to reach every individual regardless of learning level.
ROLE SUMMARY
Bridge Plus is an inclusive environment where every person can be discipled and included to experience the love of Jesus, and feel seen known and loved at The Bridge. We’re looking for an experienced leader to create a discipleship environment for kids with diverse needs where accommodations and modifications for individualized learning is required. This person would advocate, support and train families, buddies and volunteers. The Bridge Plus Coordinator needs to be a visionary and have a heart for seeing this need not just filled, but grown and thriving. This person will have the opportunity to grow Bridge + from being focused on Bridge Kids to extending and supporting Bridge Students and adults alike. We desire for the Bridge Church to be accessible to all individuals with special needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong and growing personal commitment to Jesus Christ
Ability to see and articulate the leadership behaviors of The Bridge
Articulate the Gospel in a way that anyone can understand and enables them to grow in their faith
Has a bent towards visionary leadership
Has experience and knowledge of special needs
Is comfortable working with individuals with special needs
Has a passion to disciple individuals and families with special needs to know Jesus
Must be organized and able to manage their own time
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Onboard buddies to build a team of volunteers
Connect buddies to families
Follow up with families and buddies as a consistent touch point
Train all Bridge Kids volunteers in how to interact, support and disciple kids with special needs
Have vision to grow beyond Bridge Kids to all individuals with special needs
Be present for services on Sundays as needed
Able to own scheduling of buddies and substitutes when last minute call outs happen
Spend time dreaming and expanding the Bridge Plus rooms and offerings
CONTRACT: 1 Year
STAFF LEVEL: Contract: reports to the Kids Director
