OBJECTIVE
The objective of the College and Young Adults Pastor is to cast vision and develop both a comprehensive College Ministry for students in neighboring universities of all Rolling Hills Community Church campuses and a strategy for reaching and ministering with emerging adults in their twenties.

EXPECTATIONS
- Live an exemplary life modeling the call, character, and competencies of a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Be a servant leader to his or her staff and teams of volunteers, the families and the overall church body.
- Grow personally in his/her own leadership and ministerial abilities by reading, attending conferences and having godly and professional mentors in his/her life.
- Be involved in the overall life of the church body by being a partner/member, actively participating in a community group, church-wide events, and functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Vision & Strategy
- Cast and champion the vision for College and Young Adult Ministry in alignment with the NextGen Ministry Vision and RH Discipleship Strategy.
- Represent this vision to the RH staff, volunteers, campuses, and surrounding communities.
- Lead and further develop the current ministry strategy, including Thrive weekly worship gatherings, teaching, and community groups at the Franklin and Nashville campuses.
Leadership Development & Discipleship
- Recruit, equip, and disciple leaders to teach, mentor, and invest in college students and emerging adults.
- Develop opportunities for team learning, volunteer training, and leadership development.
- Foster a culture of encouragement, community, and spiritual growth within staff and volunteer teams.
Outreach & Engagement
- Reach new college students and young adults with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Understand and respond to the unique challenges and opportunities of ministering to millennials and emerging adults in Middle Tennessee.
- Build pathways to connect Rolling Hills with local campuses, campus ministries, and mission partners.
- Be an active presence in campus life, supporting efforts to reach and disciple students.
Ministry Systems & Programs
- Create and oversee effective systems for connection, follow-up, and discipleship of students and young adults.
- Provide opportunities for Rolling Hills members to serve and engage with college students.
- Develop programs such as worship gatherings, small groups, mentoring, leadership pipelines, and local ministry opportunities.
Stewardship & Collaboration
- Plan, manage, and steward the ministry budget to support growth and mission goals.
- Partner with Rolling Hills pastors and ministries to ensure a connected discipleship pathway from high school through adulthood.
- Stay resourced and growing personally through books, conferences, and ministry networks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College level undergraduate degree; additional education is preferred.
- Minimum of three years in church related ministry or the equivalent experience in working with young adults in other venues.
- Must be a professing Christian with a true calling and passion for ministry and a partner of Rolling Hills Community Church.
