JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Youth Pastor is primarily responsible for leading Traders Point Youth, providing leadership to the Youth team, and setting clear goals aligning with the overall church vision. This role would also oversee and lead central youth content teams, leading the collaboration and work accountability among youth campus staff. This will require someone who is self-driven, collaborative and leads with a team mentality.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a dotted line supervisor to campus youth staff and the Youth Operations Lead.
DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to TPY staff
- Defined vision, values, and staff role clarity for Traders Point Youth staff
- Effective equipping of all campus Youth staff members so they can lead their teams
- Effective one-on-one communication, relationship-building, and coaching
- Provide vision and direction for Youth staff team meetings and gatherings
- Model Kingdom collaboration by connecting with, resourcing, and networking with other Youth ministries
- Oversee the hiring process of new Youth staff
- When needed, lead change across the organization for TPY initiatives
- Actively growing in understanding and knowledge of adolescent development and trends
- Primary owner and stewardship responsibility of TPY budget
- Collaborate with Central teams
- Work with campus pastors to help them effectively lead TPY staff on their campus teams
- Initiate and collaborate with Creative team for all film, worship, and production support
- Represent and advocate for TPY in central ministry initiatives and to leadership
- Work with ministry (Outreach, Ministry Engagement/Guest Experience, Kids) and creative (Worship, Production, Film, MarComm) leads to effectively cross-collaborate in ministry
- Collaborate with the Youth Operations Lead/Pastor to ensure Youth staff are fully resourced and equipped at all campuses
- Parent initiatives
- Oversight of parent equipping resources and initiatives within Traders Point Youth – in programming/communication and in special events
- Contribute to parent content, resources, and events for TPY
- Provide leadership and direction for parent events within TPY across all campuses
- Collaborate with NextGen Pastor and NextGen Operations to provide support and vision for Next Gen parent events, resources, and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
- This position reports to the Next Gen Pastor.
- Participate as a full member of the pastoral staff, attending such meetings and special events as required
- Will be fully engaged at TPCC, fulfilling the expectations outlined in the Engagement Pathway
- Assist and equip assigned team staff and ministry leaders to achieve leadership and ministry effectiveness.
- Attend meetings of assigned ministry teams.
- Serve in rotations assuming normally expected roles of a pastor: weddings, funerals, hospital calls, teaching, preaching, minister on call during weekend services, general counseling, and premarital counseling, as requested.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Excellent leadership skills
- Effective communication – both public communication, team leadership, and 1:1
- A proven passion for youth and family ministry
- Knowledge of generational trends
- Strong biblical and theological foundation
- Provide general pastoral care and support for guests and volunteers, such as counseling, praying, and visiting hospitals.
- Officiate, assist, and/or coordinate funeral services.
- Perform baptisms and lead baptism conversations.
- Optional sacerdotal duties: officiating weddings and leading pre-marital counseling.

- Computer proficiency in Microsoft, ChMS (Rock), PlayLister, Planning Center
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5+ years of similar experience
