JOB SUMMARY

The Northwest Youth Lead Pastor provides overall leadership and strategic direction for Traders Point Youth (6th–12th grade) at the Northwest Campus. This role oversees the entire youth ministry and directly supervises the Northwest youth pastors currently serving at the campus.

The ideal candidate brings a mix of relational ministry experience and organizational leadership skills—capable of driving clarity, building healthy systems, and developing teams that disciple students with purpose and consistency. The Youth Lead plays a key role in aligning the campus team with our church-wide vision and ensuring that students and volunteers are well-pastored, equipped, and engaged.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly manages Youth Pastors at Northwest Campus

Oversees Difference Makers at Northwest campus—experience team members and leads, group support leads, and group leaders

DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS

Team Leadership & Oversight

Provide strategic leadership and development for the Northwest Youth staff team

Set clear expectations, rhythms, and goals for staff and volunteers

Coach, encourage, and evaluate Youth Pastors, helping them grow in both spiritual and professional leadership

Champion team health and alignment with TPCC’s mission and values

Organizational Strategy

Design and implement systems for communication, leader care, follow-up, programming, and student discipleship

Ensure all campus youth environments (Midweek, Weekend, Youth Serve, Youth Night, Summer Camp) are resourced and executed with excellence

Manage campus youth budget and calendar, in alignment with central strategy

Ministry Execution

Support the execution of weekly Midweek programming, ensuring alignment and collaboration with Youth Pastors

Build a leadership pipeline for adult Difference Makers and student leaders

Collaborate with central teams on content, events, and discipleship pathways

Engage with youth and families relationally, especially in moments of next steps, crisis, or celebration (i.e., baptism)

Campus Integration

Serve as a visible leader and pastor on weekends, helping connect students and families to the life of the church

Participate in campus events and initiatives as part of the campus leadership team

Represent the youth ministry to campus leadership and staff as needed

Personal and Spiritual Leadership

A mature follower of Jesus who models integrity, teachability, and spiritual leadership

A developer of people—able to coach, challenge, and care for staff and volunteers

A systems-thinker who can bring clarity and structure to a dynamic team

Passionate about student ministry and committed to helping students know and follow Jesus

A strong communicator who can lead up, down, and across

Experienced in managing complexity and driving alignment

Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required (youth ministry, leadership, education, or similar preferred)

5+ years of experience in youth ministry and/or organizational leadership

Experience managing staff or leading teams preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS

Requires weekly setup/tear down, event participation, and occasional travel for camps or conferences, ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel or squat.

Must be able to work various hours to accommodate events occasionally.

Ability to travel locally as needed.
