Objective
The Assistant IT Manager supports the daily operations of the Information Technology Ministry, ensuring that all systems, users and ministry teams are equipped to carry out the mission of The Church of Eleven22®. This role works closely with the IT Manager to maintain infrastructure, assist with planning and execution of projects and serve as a technical resource for both staff and serve staff. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a heart for ministry and the ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on support tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the IT Manager with coordinating IT operations across all ministry areas
- Provide technical support to staff and serve staff in a timely and professional manner
- Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and network equipment
- Assist with inventory management, software licensing and vendor coordination
- Participate in IT project planning and implementation as needed
- Maintain clear documentation and reporting on systems, procedures and support tickets
- Help oversee serve staff training and development within the IT Ministry
- Collaborate with ministry teams to understand technology needs and provide support
- Help manage system access and security controls in accordance with internal policies
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- Associate degree in computer science or a related field
- Two or more years of experience in a help desk, IT support or junior admin role
- Exposure to infrastructure, networking or systems administration is a plus
- Experience in a ministry or non-profit setting preferred
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary based on church needs.
The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.This role will also require the need to lift heavy equipment up to 50 pounds.
Ministerial Exception
The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
