Objective
This role is responsible for strengthening and caring for the pastors and ministry leaders entrusted to The Church of Eleven22® and its partner churches through proactive pastoral care, strategic partnerships and civic engagement. In partnership with the Executive Pastor, this role advances Vision Engagement, cultivates generosity and develops strategic ministry relationships to further The Church of Eleven22 mission of leading people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession and fellowship
- Build and steward strategic relationships with partner churches, denominational networks, civic organizations, nonprofits and community leaders to advance ministry impact and represent The Church of Eleven22 within these partnerships
- Partner with the Executive Ministries Pastor to plan and execute Vision Engagement retreats, summits and other strategic leadership gatherings
- Provide strategic leadership for generosity initiatives, ensuring they are effectively integrated into the church's vision, discipleship pathways and ministry engagement opportunities
- Partner with the Executive Pastor to cultivate relationships with ministry partners, donors, vision ambassadors and key leaders through vision casting, stewardship and development conversations
- Develop and lead initiatives that equip and strengthen pastors and ministry leaders within partner churches through proactive soul care, resilience-building, strategic resources and preventative support before crises arise
- Provide pastoral care, counseling, encouragement and spiritual support to pastors and ministry leaders serving within partner churches
- Lead, coach and develop the Vision Engagement Director and team, fostering alignment, growth and ministry effectiveness
- Provide strategic leadership for Vision Engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with the church's mission and vision
- Oversee the Vision Engagement budget, including first-level approval of expenditures and responsible stewardship of ministry resources
- Evaluate the effectiveness of ministry partnerships and pastor care initiatives through measurable outcomes, data analysis and continuous improvement

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, MortarStone, The Rock, Planning Center, Basecamp and Power BI
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master of Divinity or equivalent graduate theological education preferred
- Ordained or credentialed or willing to pursue credentialing consistent with The Church of Eleven22's requirements
- Significant pastoral leadership experience, including providing care, coaching and counsel to pastors and ministry leaders
- Experience developing partnerships, cultivating donor relationships and/or securing major gifts preferred
- Experience serving in a large, multisite church environment preferred
Expected Hours of Work
Work Hours Expectations: 40 hours or more.
Schedule Expectations: Monday through Friday (hours may vary based on church needs to include working weekends).
The church has several big events (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
Thisposition operates in a professional office environment and regularly works outdoors at The Retreat Center and offsite at partner churches, homes and community venues. Regular local and occasional regional travel is expected, along with evening and weekend work to support ministry activities. The position is primarily sedentary but requires frequent standing and walking, as well as the ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ministerial Exception
The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
