The Sloan Creek Student Pastor provides pastoral and strategic leadership for Chase Oaks Students in grades 7–12 at the Sloan Creek Campus. This leader translates the shared Chase Oaks Student Ministry framework into a locally effective, outward-focused ministry that reaches students not yet connected to Chase Oaks and helps every student connect with us, connect with God, and connect with purpose.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own Sloan Creek's local student-ministry strategy and day-to-day execution in alignment with shared all-campus student ministry vision, priorities, and calendar.
Receive regular coaching and accountability from the All-Campus Student Pastor in implementing the all-campus student ministry vision, strategy, and standards within the Sloan Creek Campus and community.
Plan and lead engaging weekly gatherings, small groups, events, camps, trips, and serving opportunities aligned with the Chase Oaks mission, DNA, and Connect pillars.
Create a culture where students can belong, ask honest questions, encounter Jesus, and take meaningful next steps.
Recruit, train, coach, and care for adult leaders while developing a leadership pipeline for both adults and students.
Equip adult leaders and students to live outward-focused lives, build relationships with students beyond Chase Oaks, and create natural pathways into the ministry.
Provide biblical teaching, pastoral care, family partnership, and appropriate crisis response within all safety and reporting standards.
Build a strategic, consistent presence in local schools and community spaces, developing partnerships and relational pathways that help disconnected students take a first step into belonging.
Contribute to all-campus student events and own assigned areas from planning through execution, team coordination, and follow-up.
Collaborate with the Sloan Creek Campus Pastor and campus staff on campus integration and local ministry priorities while stewarding the student ministry’s budget, communication, facilities, data, and operations.
CHASE OAKS STAFF PASTOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commit to doing ministry as a team; develop interdependence among team members and be authentic with team members.
Participate in and take responsibility for the execution of the Ministry Team planning process for the Sloan Creek Student Ministry.
Demonstrate a consistent lifestyle and be of strong character.
Participate in Pastor-of-the-Day duties.
Be available to perform sacerdotal functions (i.e., weddings, funerals, communion, and baptisms).
Regularly attend and participate in staff and pastoral meetings and/or leadership development opportunities.
Be available to assist other ministries and pastors with special projects or by handling specific assignments and non-routine matters.

Proven ability to build teams, develop leaders, and communicate clearly with students, families, volunteers, and staff
An approachable, discerning, and biblically grounded pastoral presence
Strong organizational, administrative, and ministry-operations skills
A collaborative team player and lifelong learner
EXPERIENCE DESIRED
Five or more years of relevant student-ministry or leadership experience preferred; equivalent preparation may be considered.
Demonstrated experience leading student environments, communicating publicly, partnering with parents, developing leaders, and managing ministry operations.
EDUCATION DESIRED
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education, theological preparation, and ministry experience may be considered.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit, train, coach, and care for adult volunteers and student leaders; supervise interns or ministry staff as assigned.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate biblical truth and ministry vision clearly in public and interpersonal settings and to respond effectively to students, parents, volunteers, staff, and community partners
COMPUTER SKILLS
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook calendaring, email, and digital communication tools
Ability to use ministry databases, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and student-ministry communication platforms
