JOB SUMMARY
Lead effective, engaging, measurable, replicable, and high impact local and global outreach strategies under the direction of the Lead Outreach Pastor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities from a staff perspective. This position will oversee Outreach Ministry Partners at TPCC campuses.
DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS
- Identify potential partners that align with the Outreach department’s mission, values, and strategy.
- Research campus demographics and local needs, providing direction to campus staff and/or campus ministry partners in the identification and development of partnerships.
- Mobilize people at each Traders Point campus to prayerfully engage in: (i) Support of TPCC's mission efforts and partners, (ii) Outreach efforts and fulfillment of the Outreach strategy, and (iii) the advancement of God's Kingdom through their time, talent, and resources.
- Strengthen and maintain relationships with partners including regular meetings and site visits.
- Identify, raise up, and lead Outreach ministry partners at TPCC campuses.
- Ensure that partners are meeting expectations as laid out in their Memorandum of Understanding.
- Understand partners’ needs in terms of resources (both people and financial), communicating those needs and advocating appropriately to the Lead Outreach Pastor.
- Steward the Outreach budget and resources well.
- Implement strategic planning and oversight of TPCC missions trips including advanced planning with partners, identifying and training trip leaders, and overseeing trip meetings and debriefs.
- Mobilize mission trip participants towards a next step in service at Traders Point.
- Oversee the planning and execution of child sponsorship events at TPCC.
- Represent Traders Point at missions events, partner events, and conferences as needed.
- Contribute to the overall Outreach strategy in collaboration with the Lead Outreach Pastor.
- Support church-wide outreach events as directed by the Lead Outreach Pastor.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Report to the Lead Outreach Pastor
- Work closely with the Outreach team
- Work closely with Campus teams
- Oversee Outreach Ministry Partners
- Serve as liaison with external partners
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Demonstrates a firm grasp of Missiology in both understanding and application
- Awareness of Mission and Outreach trends, issues, and resources
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people of different backgrounds/languages/cultures
- Strong organizational ability and attention to details
- Strong delegation skills
PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Ability to train & equip people towards a common vision
- Familiarity with computer databases and software
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, field of study in Ministry, Missions, and Outreach, or a related field
- 3+ years leadership experience, preferably in Outreach ministry (paid or volunteer)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS.
Travel: Must be able to travel across the US & globally.
