Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Objective
Provide effective management and oversight of all housekeeping operations to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of cabins, guest rooms, hallwaysand public areas throughout The Retreat Center. Responsible for supervising daily room servicing in alignment with established cleaning procedures, including stocking supplies, replacing linensand replenishing amenities.This role demands strong leadership, staff supervision, attention to detail, effective scheduling and the ability to resolve conflicts while upholding a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure that all systems, staff and schedules for The Retreat Center Housekeeping Ministry are efficiently implemented
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Ministry
- Direct the assignment, execution and prioritization of all housekeeping tasks based on the events schedule and operational tempo
- Manage the housekeeping staff schedules and monitor work progress
- Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations
- Monthly audits of housekeeping maintenance i.e. light bulbs and air filters
- Assist in creating and maintaining the Housekeeping Ministry annual budget
- Recruit serve staff—ensure they are utilized and supported
- Provide the General Manager with essential reports, trends and goals
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- 3-5 years of housekeeping experience
- Ability to organize multiple projects, events and personnel with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow through, courtesy
- Have strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and have the ability to learn and use new computer software
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-5pm. During scheduled events and gatherings, work hours and days may vary, to include weekends and after hours. Flexibility is a must.
The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses industry standard housekeeping products, cleaning solutions and equipment. In addition, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to an outdoor environment on 3,500 acres of South Georgia coastal woodlands, to include intercostal waterways, swamps and dense forests. Encounters with various wildlife (feral hogs, deer, snakes, alligators, spiders, ticks, mosquitos and other insects) are common.
Physical Demands
This role requires a mixture of physical demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel or crouch. The employee must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time (up to eight hours) and the ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds. Must be able to lift items of up to 15 pounds, bend and stand, load and unload laundry apparatuses. Extreme summer heat as well as cold, wet winters are expected.
Ministerial Exception
The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
